Chelsea Hyduk is an architectural designer, neighborhood advocate, and mom residing in Core City, Detroit.

As Founder of CHYDUK, she aims to uplift a collaborative process of designing and building, creating long-term partnerships with both people and place for a heart-centered practice. She approaches big ideas with clear intentions and simple solutions, designing spaces that balance the built and natural environment. 

A certified yoga instructor, Chelsea embraces crossover between personal and professional with an emphasis on designing spaces that support community and wellness. Her project experience includes cafes, a yoga studio, art studios, single-family residences, a pocket park, and neighborhood-wide planning efforts. Prior to her return to Michigan, Chelsea worked with SHoP Architects in New York City, where she was most recently the co-project manager for YouTube’s 400,000 sf mass timber headquarters in San Bruno, CA.

Chelsea earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture with an Environment minor from the University of Michigan and her Master of Architecture from Columbia University. Named in DBusiness’s “30 in their Thirties” in 2024, she works with local non-profits, residents, developers, and small business owners.
